1971 Grabber Green 429SCJ

Picture
We found this car in Atlanta where it had been in storage for 17 years  in the basement of the previous owner. This was a great find, an all matching numbers car with most of the hard to find parts. Much of the needed parts for restoration was already purchased and the percentage of the new parts were NOS.

The above pictures were as we found it in the basement.

Loaded and ready for the trip home.

I have never in my life seen so much undercoating applied to the bottom of the car. It took a 40 gallon trash can to hold all the scraped undercoating.

The engine was rebuilt using the stock bore and original forged pistons. We did a roller cam upgrade and head port work. In addition we used roller rockers. I also opted to use the Shelby valve covers and aluminum intake that was period correct bling for the 429 Cobra Jets.  These goodies help seperate this car from everyone elses.  This combination resulted in 488 hp and 520 ft pounds of torque

The Grabber Green has been applied and finished off with some sweet buffing lovin!  Grabber Green Rocks!!
Next we will be applying all the black trim paint and paint the engine compartment.
