Interesting People Met Through Cars

Obviously building cars is rewarding enough if  its your passion. I was just thinking the other day how many cool people I have met over the years. The new friends you meet while attending car shows, cruise ins, or even at the gas station while  pumping gas into your street machine.  Its amazing how car lover's can just strike up a conversation to a complete stranger.  How many times have you heard a perfect strangers account of their life. It starts with the car they had when they were a teenager, sold it to get married, wish I had it back, couldn't afford one while the kids were growing up, looking for one now,  just bought a,  almost finished with.... it was so fast that...... my friend had one of those...I remember when we....I know where one of those is sitting, but they won't sell it.  Cars seem to bring people together.
I thought I would create this page to highlight some of those people we have met, or our cars have been appreciated by.

Spike Tv's Power Block Series "Trucks"

Picture
It was a privilege and an honor to be invited to be with Kevin and Ryan the hosts of Trucks on Spike TV to help out on a project for an episode of Trucks.    After being there at the studios I have a new found respect for all the Power Block folks who put on the shows for us gear heads every week.

Our Black Car Has a New Home

Picture
One of our favorite creations is this Black 67 Mustang Shelby Clone . Well this week-end myself and employee Scott had the privilege of delivering the car to its new owner in Tennessee. The new owner is Matthew Followill, lead guitar player with the band  Kings of Leon.  I spoke with Matthew's dad Johnny first,  Johnny shared with me Matthew's love for all things car related.  Matthew has a busy schedule coming up so would like the car ASAP.  The problem was I could not get my normal car haulers to repond as quick as we needed the car shipped. So remembering what it was like to be in my 20's and excited about a car we delivered it ourselves. Since I am a musician and know of some of the stress of being in a band I wanted Matthew to have this car before he went on tour.  I am glad we went. After meeting with Matthew and his dad Johnny I was  happy that he was getting our black beauty.  Matthew loves the car and it showed. I was so impressed that a young man who just won a Grammy still has his feet on the ground.  Best of luck to Matthew and   Kings Of Leon. and take care of our baby

The French Invasion

Picture
During the 45th Mustang Anniversary Event a group of French car enthusiast stopped by our shop for a visit. It was very interesting to hear about all the Mustang Enthusiasts in France. They have a  huge following with a very large Mustang Club membership.  I appreciated them taking the time to come by and visit. Later in the year they were kind enough to send me their French Magazine in which we were featured.
