RE-BOOT 70 Project

Picture
Ok so the name of the project might be a little slack in creativity but maybe the car will make up for my lack of colorful project names. Maybe some history will help define the name a little. This car was built to the point you see in the picture. With the squeeze of the enconomy the past customer needed to bail out of the project. To get it to the condition you see it in now required new floor pans, qtr panels, fenders, hood, taillight panel, and a whole bucket of love and rubbin. We also installed the Rod and Custom Motorsport Mustang II suspension with coils overs. The car was to get a 351W engine and five speed transmission. Black deluxe interior and look like the Boss 429 on the outside.
We were able to help the customer get out of the project by finding the car another owner. The new owner wanted to take it up a few notches but still stay close to the original plan. The changes include a different power plant with horsepower being the main focus along with obviously a half a cup of cool added in to the ingredients. So the new plan calls for an 03/04 Cobra engine with a 6 speed tranny and a Kenne Bell supercharger. The paint.......man I love the red on it now but half a cup of cool also included a new paint sceme. I am not going to describe it just keep scrolling down this page and either love it or hate it. Obviously I think it looks sweet.

To squeeze the Cobra engine in we had to rework the motor mounts and crossmember as it was set up for a 351W. In addition I moved the transmission crossmember back a few inches and raised the tunnel to allow more room and good drive shaft angle for the six speed. We installed the engine for fit and measurements for future considerations, like brakes, and radiator. We willl stick with the hyroboost for brakes.  We sanded down the beautiful fresh red paint job and prepped it for its new look.
